The official training season 2025 started

The official training season for the 2025 World Championships has begun. Efforts are being made to serve orienteers as well as possible. The available training includes training packages, self-printable maps and OCAD files for top orienteers.

Available for all customers:

  • Printed maps of the Training Package 2025 – courses by WOC course setters
  • PDF for self-printing

Training maps are available for national team and challenge group members:

  • OCAD files during national team training camp
  • Printed maps of the Training Package 2025
  • PDF for self-printing

Training Package 2025

All five different training package sessions will be available in the summer of 2025 and can be found on the WOC2025 website. You can purchase a map from WOC2025’s own online store. Trainings Välimäki A and B are available after the selection race held 8th June 2025. Athletes selected for the national team may train in the Puijonsarvi area after the selection race held 7th June 2025. Please note that the area is under training and competition embargo for the Fin5 Orienteering Week.

The training package maps can be picked up from either Spa Hotel Rauhalahti or Spa Hotel Kunnonpaikka. These pick-up locations serve orienteers arriving from both the south and the north. There are large control flags at the control points of the trainings. Remember to report any missing control flags to the organizers.

PDF for self-printing

You can also print a PDF file for your own use and set a course that suits you. There are 16 different terrains available in Northern Savonia. If you use your own control flags or plastic tapes, remember to collect them from the terrain afterward. Let’s keep Finland’s forests clean.

OCAD files for national team and challenge group members

The OCAD file is specific to national team members and challenge group members. The buyer of the OCAD file is responsible for ensuring that the map file and any prints made from it are only used for their own training as a national team athlete or official challenge group member. The buyer of the OCAD file is responsible for not sharing the file outside or making it publicly available for download. Requests can be sent via email to training@woc2025.fi.
